About Me
I am a marriage and family therapist licensed to practice in the state of California (Lic. # 106287). With more than 20 years of experience working with individual, families, adolescents, children, and groups on a range of mental health and behavioral issues.

It is never easy to ask for help or create change without feeling a little uneasy. I am here to help and provide compassion when you are feeling hopeless and overwhelmed. Together we can work on freeing yourself from those negative messages and behaviors that might be hurting you or your loved ones.

In hope, you will regain your sense of worth, and you will become more accepting of yourself.
I am a genuine, compassionate and a playful therapist. I use insight, art, and play to help my clients soothe their pain, regain hope and bring joy back into their lives.

I will ask purposeful questions to help you find answers within yourself. I love to laugh and don't mind being silly, however I also incorporate both mindfulness and evidence-based practices ( TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, Solution Focus, and Narrative Therapies) to best support my clients in getting the resources and new skills they need.
I am also available for consultations as well as in-home parenting and behavioral therapy.

Family Therapy
Communication is extremely important in order for families to function. My goal is to help support and promote positive communication, connection, and problem solving within families.
Family therapy can also be helpful if parents are feeling unsuccessful in setting rules and expectations, are concerned about their child’s risky behaviors (like substance abuse), or are going through life transitions (like loss of a parent, adoption, or divorce).
Individual Therapy
When working with individuals I strive to assist each client with developing personal awareness of triggers and applying healthy coping skills to manage their reactions to triggers. I promote self-expression and self-esteem to guide each individual to find their desired balance and coordinate through the many obstacles of life. While in session, I often utilize Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focus Therapy. I also assist clients with their personal growth and gaining of self-confidence to navigate through the everyday and out of ordinary life circumstances to become the best versions of themselves!
Adolescent Therapy
Along with being a therapist, I have a background in child development and have been working with children and families as young as birth for over 20 years. I work with children on issues of attachment, foster/adoption, fetal alcohol syndrome, ADHD, depression, oppositional, transitions, trauma and behavioral. Children can either come to the office or I am available to provide in home support for parenting and behavioral therapy to help enhance a more positive home environment.
I also have an extensive background working with teens. I truly enjoy listening, talking, and connecting with teens. I enjoy helping them grow and learn how to make good choices, as well as supporting them in their struggles of depression, anxiety, trauma, conflict, sexuality, and substance abuse concerns. My goal is to help teens effectively communicate their needs in a positive way to enhance their relationships with their parents, peers, teachers, and community.
